Ameya bridges gap left by business link closures

HAMPSHIRE, United Kingdom – Following the announcement by Business Secretary, Vince Cable, that regional Business Link’s will close by the end of 2012, there is concern for the lack of affordable, face to face, business advice for small and start-up businesses within the private sector.

Hampshire based Sales and Marketing agency, Ameya Marketing, has pledged to offer a range of affordable support packages designed to bridge this gap, desirable to even the smallest of businesses.

“There is a genuine need for cost-effective business support to help facilitate survival and growth for businesses in this demanding economic climate. Due to mass unemployment, becoming self employed is often the only viable option for many. Starting a new business presents many challenges and questions relating to key operational functions including sale and marketing. With very little financial support available to businesses from the government in the South East, low cost support will be a life-line to many companies during their first year”, comments Ameya’s managing Director, Simon Charly.

In order to assist businesses, Ameya will be offering a free face to face initial consultation and affordable monthly retainer based services with real time sales and marketing support. This will include strategic planning and practical advice on campaign activities consistent with the client’s long term plans, whilst delivering short term immediate return on investment.

The closures were first announced when Minister for Business and Enterprise, Mark Prisk, was interviewed by Real Business in June 2010 where he explained: “We can deliver a lot more online and make better use of the private providers.”

Research shows that 80 percent of private businesses already use private providers rather than government tools for advice, but the real concern is that small and start-up businesses will be priced out of these services. Networking events and forums offer a certain degree of advice, although this can be confusing and opinionated. It can be argued that a bespoke focussed approach to business and marketing strategy is likely to be the most effective method of generating business growth.
